KNOW YOUR CANNABIS
WHAT ARE CANNABINOIDS?
Cannabinoids are a class of chemical compounds that occur naturally in both humans and animals (endocannabinoids) as well as in cannabis plants (phytocannabinoids).
There are over 100 different phytocannabinoids that have been isolated from the cannabis plant, but the two major and most studied are: Cannabidiol (CBD) and Tetrahydrocannabidiol (THC)
Endocannabinoids and phytocannabinoids act similarly in the body.
WHAT IS CBD?
Cannabidiol—CBD—is a cannabis compound that has significant benefits, but does not make people feel “stoned” and can actually counteract the psychoactivity of THC. To learn more, read the full in depth article at Project CBD.

WHAT ARE TERPENES?
The endocannabinoid system is the collection of cannabinoid receptors, endocannabinoids, and enzymes that are involved in maintaining balance in the body.
The two most studied endocannabinoids are anandamide and 2-AG.
THC is molecularly identical to anandamide, a.k.a. the bliss molecule, which is an endocannabinoid known to reduce pain.
CBD is molecularly identical to 2-AG, which is an endocannabinnoid thought to play an important role in the regulation immune system functions, and pain management.
